Putting a Hit on Bugs with Code Contracts
Bruce Johnson, ObjectSharp Consulting
www.objectsharp.com
Design by Contract (DbC) is not new to the world of software development. Creating APIs using
this technique results is more robust applications that can actually identify potential bugs at
build time. However, in the .NET world, the capabilities of Design by Contract have not been
readily accessible. That changes with the addition of Code Contracts to the developer’s toolbox.
In this session, we will not only discuss the philosophy behind DbC, but also examine how it can
be used in your .NET applications to improve the reliability of your code.
