Getting Started with WPF (or WPF for WinForms Developers)
Rob Windsor, ObjectSharp Consulting
www.objectsharp.com
Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) is a next-generation presentation system for building Windows
client applications with visually stunning user experiences. Unfortunately, the WPF development
experience is quite different than its predecessor (Windows Forms) so many developers find it difficult
to get started using the technology. This session is designed to show you how to map your core Windows
Forms development skills to WPF so you can get started building applications. Specifically we will look
at form layout, data binding, and data validation.
